Unit 1, Evolution: Patterns and Products of Change in Living Systems, features more scaffolded instruction around core concepts of evolution including variation, common ancestry and evolutionary relationships, and speciation.
Unit 4, Continuity: Reproduction and Inheritance in Living Systems, includes updated activities in which students explore genetic counseling and genetic technologies, as well as increased connections between genetics and evolution.
Unit 6, Ecology: Interaction and Interdependence Living Systems, features a new activity and more scaffolded instruction about complex ecosystems.
